RPGDiceRoller
04 Jun 2008
What came first - the desire to learn one of the most
popular programing languages nowadays, or the
realization that there is no good (at least not for my
uses) dashboard widgets for pen & paper roleplaying
gamers? I can't really remember, but now both is done
. And I must say that Dashcode
(Apple's Widget programing tool), though it has
its share of bugs and childhood diseases, has been
tremendously helpful in reducing the effort.
Development environtments should always so easy to
use!
RPGDiceRoller (I'm not good inventing names...) lets you create cards on dashboard on your Mac, with a title and a list of (skill name, dice) pairs. To each pair there belongs a friendly "Roll" button, which can be used to throw the given dice. Just have a closer look here, download and play with it!

Integrated smooth scrolling links in PageTOC
30 Jan 2008
As some of you probably know, it is possible with a
little work to get PageTOC page's to smoothly scroll to
the created internal links between table of contents
and headers. You can look at Alessio's great tutorial for the
gory details -- but as of today you don't need to!
With the new version uploaded today, this effect
is available to any of your PageTOC page's by just
a simple click on the corresponding option in the
settings (see the screenshot). Many thanks to
Alessio Sbrana for pointing me to
this, and lots of thanks to the MooTools team which provides such a
great and free effects library! Get the new version.
PageTOC update: Leopard ready and adapted to RapidWeaver 3.6.3+
03 Jan 2008
I had some reports about PageTOC not appearing as a
page style in RapidWeaver on Leopard (aka Mac OS 10.5
for all like me that can't remember all the cat names).
After getting hold of one of these beautilul
predators I finally was able to fix the
problem. In the same go I moved the "setup" page
to RapidWeaver's page inspector, as it is the
preferred way now with 3.6.3 and upward. So again
nothing spectacular... was a bit busy with my
"real" job, getting married, etcetcetc
